Shoppers Drug Mart

Yesterday I went there to buy my daughter a birthday gift, a bottle of perfume. I asked the girl working if the bottle I was holding was a new perfume. She replied yes it was, I said okay I'll take one. After I buy it and bring it home, my daughter opens it and its not the new one or the same as the bottle I originally picked up in the store and asked about. I go back with my receipt and was told by that same cashier because I opened it I could not return it. I said but you told me this was the new one and it wasn't. She said you opened it, we cannot take it back. I spoke to another cashier, asked for a manager to which the lady replied there were none working. She paged two supervisors. They both came up, I explained the situation, they said the same thing. I said my frustration is, I asked your worker if it was the new one and she said yes, she let me buy it and it was the wrong one. The only reply was well, she's new. You know this is not a nice way to run a business, I understand mistakes happen, but I felt extremely upset as perfume is not cheap there, I shop for all my daughters perfume and make up at this location.. While I understand your policy, I am thoroughly annoyed that I was told it was the new one, when that was the same cashier who rang up my purchase and let me walk out with the wrong perfume!! It's sad when you treat your loyal customers in such a condescending manner.

Poor service not returning the item with bill.

The owner (or manager) was awful, even though I proved to him I didn’t steal, he still thought of me as nothing but a thieving liar. The worker in the make up aisle says she saw me take something but I didn’t even touch this product.
