Groveland Gyro Park

Nice park, definitely a newer, nice playground with a couples slides, stairs and a bridge. 4 swings+ 2 baby swings, hockey box with permanent hockey nets and a large field with baseball diamond. Lots of taller trees around the playground to offer shade on a sunny day. Also a noce woodchip+ concrete trail around the park for bikes or scooters.

Great playground and wide open field to run around in. Clean and safe for kids.

One of our kids' favourite playgrounds in Nanaimo. And a great neighbourhood too, with flat, walkable sidewalks.

Groveland Park is a stop off on my walk where my friend and I do laps and get at least 7,000 steps all day it's great because the track around the park is nice and soft because of the wood chips. They do need to upgrade the wood chips because they're kind of worn out right now but I'm sure when they find the time it will be done in the future.

This is a great and unique neighbourhood park. There is an excellent play area for young children. There are picnic tables. There is an enclosed ball court area. Fields for baseball and soccer are well maintained. There are a few shades areas near the children's playground. There is a freestanding water tap and portable toilet with wheelchair access. There is also a paved bike track for teaching kids bike riding.
