I do not travel with Air Canada very often and only did so this time because of the timing of my trip. I booked a trip in September for Milan. Today I received an email changing my trip to Munich! A link was provide in the email to their website for options if the flight was not acceptable. Of course it was not acceptable as I wanted to go to Milan not Munich! The only option on line was ti receive a voucher. I did not want a voucher; I wanted a refund. I spent 1.5 hours waiting on the phone to speak to a representative only to be told that I cannot get a refund, only a voucher. Since Air Canada changed my destination I cannot understand why I cannot get a refund. It is Air Canada's responsibility to provide a flight to the destination that I booked, not to rearrange my trip.

Due to the covid-19 situation, Air Canada has a very flexible fare, and also has a very complete policy of change and cancellation.
The trip was booked and cancelled because of the loss of a loved one. The customer service staff fully expressed their considerate and supportive professional attitude.
