We had a fantastic stay at the RR campsite. It was absolutely beautiful. The campground facilities are so incredibly clean, from the grounds to the shower house, the outhouses, cabins. The little touches of flower's everywhere to bouquets at your picnic table, it's really quite amazing!! It really is unlike any other campground. Surrounded by the mountains, and the river it was one of the most peaceful campgrounds we have visited. Jim and Amber are just the most lovely people. Definitely a 11/10 Rochelle & John

We were on our BC bike tour in a covid time. The Ferry from Port Hardy being delayed - not a surprise - we arrived in late afternoon in Bella Coola. Original plans were to push to Stuie. As we cycle by and stop at the grocery across the road from Rip Rap campground ( very convenient) the campground was very welcoming. We have been cycling in many places around the world for extended period of time and we must say that Rip Rap campground is probably among the top 10 place where we have had the chance to pitch our tent. Very clean and with multiple details that make even the outhouse attractive (!!) Shady or sunny cam spots, even a couple of cabins to rent. Hot Showers available, shelter for tenters, a bonfire, and a nice organized lookout on the river to enjoy your cup of tea/coffee and observe the wildlife ( birds and bears). Really a must stop before or after the ferry journey or even as a base camp to explore the surroundings. Highly recommended. Thanks to the owner to put so much energy and love in his place.

Wow! We have been to many many campgrounds and Rip Rap Campsite is far and beyond the best campground we have ever been to. The hosts clearly put in a lot of effort to ensure the place is spectacularly clean, tidy, and well-maintained; and it is so much appreciated. The grounds are beautiful with great mountain views, cool common-area indoor spaces, outdoor gazebo's with firepits that they lit at night, and a viewing platform over the river for bear viewing which is great to sit and have a few drinks at while bear watching (which we saw some black bears). I don't know why anyone would choose to spend thousands to stay at the lodges when you will have an equally amazing experience here. We would love to re-visit Bella Coola again purely for returning to this campground!

Beautiful campground and very friendly hosts. We stayed at one of the cabins. Super clean, with all we needed for a very relaxing time. Highly recommended.

One of the best camp grounds I've been to, and I've been the A LOT! 360 mountain views, right near the river, clean, kind and safe!
