can't miss - worth at least one visit! lots of easy and well-maintained trails to choose from, easy access by ferry that currently runs every 30 minutes from Maffeo Sutton Park. face masks are required on the ferry, so bring your own or purchase one with your ticket for an extra dollar. concession with sandwiches, snacks and ice cream on island. the website has complete details and updates. a traditional place of retreat and opportunity to learn about the first nations whose traditional land includes this island.

We've camped here every year for the last 10. It doesn't get much better for convenience and good family times. The staff are awesome the Island is . There are kayaks and pedal bikes to rent, and a little ice cream shop/restaurant.

Absolutely amazing trails, scenery and wildlife. 7.3 km perimeter hike with varied elevation and an ocean background. Takes about 2-3 hours at a medium pace. Bring a camera and $7.00 for the ferry to get there.

Fantastic mooring with beautiful park, lots for kids, hiking, kayaking. Well protected from Northwesterlies. Dinghy across bay to all ammenities in Nanaimo. A must...dinghy to floating pub/restaurant, Dinghy Dock. Great food, cold beer and friendly service.
