Parc New River Beach Park

beautiful beach and wonderful family camping

Good campground. Clean and sites are fairly private, although the ones near the center of the park see more vehicle and pedestrian traffic going by. The beach and hiking trails are great. We go here often.

Definitely one of New Brunswick little gems !!

What a lovely campground. Despite it being extremely foggy the entire time we were there we had a great time, even spent a day on the beach in the fog with many people swimming and having a great time. Many of the sites are fairly private. There were many people tenting but also serviced lots for RVs. The facilities were clean. Some of the sites (in the 80-90's) back on the highway so if you are looking for a wilderness experience be aware of that. There is a little restaurant on the beach that sells food and ice cream as well as some over priced camping necessities you may have forgotten. The main office also sells bags of ice for $2.50 and small wet bundles of wood for $4.00. This area is lovely and near many great places to explore. We spent a day in Fredericton which was less than 1 1/2 hour drive. Also very close to the city of Saint John. Next time we go we will take our passports as the US boarder is extremely close. Would recommend this park, however check the forecast. It seems this area is prone to fog, however a short drive away you should find completely different weather if you need to get away.

I'm very disappointed regarding the camping site. I was not told it was beside the Highway + an excavator working starting 7:40 am every day.The camping experience was a nightmare..could not sleep. I left the camping a day earlier. The beach was nice, the shower section was clean..
