We are weekend campers and have been to many private and public campgrounds. We tried this property for the first time this year and were disappointed. What we liked: Owners and staff were friendly. They brought us to our site and delivered firewood. The two pools were clean and the playground had several play structures that our kids enjoyed. What we did not like: The pools were not open very long. Open at 11am and closed a 6pm. There was a man-made lake with a beach, but the lake had lots of weeds and was infested with leeches. Our young son was bitten by one and would not go back. The site we were given made us feel like we were in a back alley, facing the back of several seasonal trailers and their sewer connections. Also lots of scrap and trash along the roadside (broken fridge, old car seats, etc). I went for a few walks around the property and several of the seasonal spots were very run down or had lots of trash/scrap on their sites. The dog park was a small fenced in patch of dirt. No grass. We did not get to try the snack bar as it was not open at all during our stay.

Great place to celebrate my grandson's 4th birthday. So worth the 3 hour drive from my home. That day was a fun water balloon fight. Adults wore oven mitts so not to have an advantage over the kids. There was even a cordoned off supervised area for toddlers to have fun too. All adults showed the kids who then joined in to pick up all the balloon pieces to ensure a safe environment for both humans and animals. A picnic birthday lunch by the water. Watching my grandson having fun on the floating inflatable pier with slide. The walk among the internal streets seeing the trailers looked so much like a quaint community. I'll be visting more next year.
