I've known about this gem for a long time but just recently rediscovered this great campground. Wasn't sure we'd be staying here this year without a reservation system in place but showing up Sunday through Wednesday should still guarantee you an opening. Clean large sites & most of them offer a good amount of privacy. Great showers (despite being loonie operated) & laundry facilities are well maintained. The two best sections appear to be the lakefront one & the one nearest the concession & boat launch. Beautifully maintained clean beach on a smaller lake. Can get a little busy for boating & the beach on the weekend but overall people seem to keep their distance. The food at the concession is quite good for beach grub with very fair prices. I recommend the fries/gravy combo & the deep fried pickles. Delish!!! Almost hesitant to post about how great it is here as I want to kinda keep it in my back pocket for my own getaway. Lol!

A hidden gem in the prairies! Large sites with lots of privacy. Multiple playgrounds and a fantastic beach with a sandy bottomed lake. A well stocked camp store with lots of variety of supplies and treats. Have yet to try the shack burgers but the looks on peoples faces seem to indicate they are very good! 4 stars because: Sheerness power plant is right across from the lake. Maybe it contributes to the warm waters of the lake but the power plant and surrounding power lines do cut into the views. No sewage hookups. There is a dump near the entrance and you can use the bathroom facilities there to minimize your RV usage. Don't forget to bring a cheque or cash as you cannot pay for your stay using a card. Having said that you can do a cash withdrawal via interac at the camp store.

Far and above the best place we've camped yet! Power and water hookups, a concession, the lake is warm and clean and the sites are clean, well maintained and treed in nicely. Its a popular place so get there early. Very family oriented and ice and firewood are for sale here as well. Highly recommend staying here! Its worth a bit of a drive

Very poplar busy spot.. hard to get a campsite...would be great if they had a overflow 1 night max camp spot. Loonie Showers, Washrooms, Laundry mat & store on site, warm water to swim.in.

If I was a camper there I would be extremely angry that the beach is so crowded even on a weekday. Day use should not be allowed during COVID. Other than that issue the facility is nice with good well manicured camp sites if that's your thing. Not really a place for the nature lover though.
