Shoppers Drug Mart

This is bar none the worst drug store I have ever been in in Canada. The store is just plain dirty and in rugged shape. The shelves are mostly empty. I was shocked. What the hell is going on with this store? How can the Shoppers Drug Mart group let this franchise look like this?

This is the last time we try to get any assistance from this pharmacy! We went in and asked the pharmacist what medication he would recommend for a teething 9 month old baby. Incredibly he asked whether we wanted tablets or liquid ! for a baby! We asked if he could come out to give us some assistance, but he refused and just pointed where they were. This is not the first time we have received poor service here.

I’ve been having my prescriptions filled here for years, and it was always a pleasant, efficient experience. Something happened in the last few months- new owner maybe? The pharmacy has gone so far downhill that today I moved my business to another pharmacy. I needed an emergency refill of a mental health medication, and despite my doctor sending in the script, I ended up going FIVE DAYS without this medication because they said they hadn’t received it and they couldn’t help me. Other failings include a general sense of apathy from the new staff, and a lack of accuracy and efficiency. Will never recommend them again.

The store itself is fine I guess but the pharmacy...just wow. It's so disorganized, my prescription wasn't ready on 2 occasions when I was told it would be. Wait around for it and then they don't put it on my extended health and they to charge me full amount for it. I've been getting a prescriptions died there for years. They didn't even ask if I had coverage or anything. Was super weird. Today I am back in my car because my prescription is not ready, after it's been here for 24 hours. How is that possible? Gave them my name and they can't seem to find it. Rummaging through piles of papers and huge bulk of prepared orders. Obviously they need a new system of doing this.... clearly what they are doing is not working.

Terrible customer service at the pharmacy. Several weeks ago my prescription was filled several days late and without using my insurance on file. Now, at the request of my medical clinic, I phoned to request an emergency refill of my medication since my doctor is off and I was told by the pharmacist that "they cannot do that". The pharmacist did not even ask my name before making that determination. I'll make the short trip to Sidney or Brentwood Bay has a nice Pharmasave.....
