John Dean Provincial Park

Went once in blazing sunshine then again two days later in rain and heavy mist. Did about 7 km each time. Great trails under both weather conditions. Diverse terrain and biota, VERY well maintained park. Kudos to the Friends of John Dean!

Good park for a nice little jaunt. Trails are well maintained and most routes are one to two hours max.

Very beautiful local park, trailers are quite short so fun little afternoon walks.

Really nice local park with lots of trails. We did the Barret Montfort loop trail, about 5 1/2km. A good mix of elevation change for a good workout. Densely treed with access to viewpoints along the way. Will definitely go again and do some of the other trails. I used the AllTrails app which is really helpful when you get to junctions without trail markers. Lots of green foliage to see and birds to listen to.

Great park! Love that you can drive to nearly the top and start exploring from there.
