Encountered rudeness, verging on confrontation when asking about the discount that the hotel was offering. Reading the other reviews it seems this level of service is sadly the norm!

This liquor store will scan your ID. For clubs or bars that do the same, looking to reduce crimes and hold patrons accountable that get into trouble, this seems fine, but for a liquor store to do it, this is an invasion of privacy. Being ID'd is okay, but having my identity collected and stored is not. I asked the clerk why he did, and his behavior changed immediately to one of quick explanation. If they needed to verify if the ID is real, they would look at the watermark. This BarWatch program is just another facet of Big Data, but liquor stores weaseling their way in on this is abhorrent. Unfortunately as this becomes an industry standard, or has been for some time, they have free reign to collect and store the ID of anyone that decides to purchase alcohol here. Some may be fine with it, but I want to make it abundantly clear that no matter how frequently you drink, the government does not need (or deserve) to know what you do with your free time.

Never in all my years have I EVER experienced such a SEVERE level of HARASSMENT and OVER THE TOP RUDENESS. I have been purchasing from the Kamloops Plaza Beer & Wine store for many years due to the friendly staff that I know on a first name basis however since the new staff took over, it has happened more than once that I experienced this MAJOR lack of BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE and WILL NO LONGER go to this beer & wine store & WILL TELL EVERYONE the same for years to come.

Staff is very rude, they need to learn some manners first then serve.
