Staff here is very friendly, but this was not our cup of tea unfortunately. This is a very large campground, with lots of sites, all very close together, which gave us an overcrowded feeling. Generally not something we would go for, but one of the only options for camping in this area. It was a very busy weekend as well, so a ton of activity on the campground. We booked a couple of weeks in advance, so it was slim pickings (no one's fault of course), but we asked for a quieter site anyways, if it was possible, as we have a baby who goes to bed early. Our choices were a site next to the picnic shelter or one next to the entrance / office of the campground. The "picnic shelter place" was a no go, cause there was a life band playing from 8pm until 12am. So we chose (were stuck with?) the site near the office. First, it didn't seem that other campers were aware that this was an actual site (even with an RV parked on it), cause they kept passing directly over it, used our picnic table, etc. Can't blame them either really, cause the site was directly in front of the entrance to the store, blocking access to the vending machine, and next to a massive propane tank. Plus, when we arrived, staff were using the site as their parking spot, so again, not surprising really. Second, it wasn't quite at all, as you could imagine, because of all the foot traffic to and from the office / shop, all the car traffic on and off the campground, the highway next to the campground and the traintracks across the road. To be fair, it seemed that most guests were thoroughly enjoying themselves, which is great of course, but as I said, just not our cup of tea. Leaving this review here for people who enjoy a more quiet and tranquil getaway. If you're into busy/active campgrounds, this could be a fun place for you!
