I could not reach the office by phone, so I made an appointment (available in 2 days, so not bad in Corona time). My appointment was on time and the lady spoke fluent English, which in government offices is a really positive surprise. All my questions about parental allowance (plus) were answered and the lady was really nice as well.

yes maybe you sometimes hang on hold for a long time, there are certainly advisors who are not 100% friendly. From my point of view this is understandable and people are doing their best. I always had people on the phone who were really friendly and understanding and who worked with me to find the right solution. I experienced more humanity and flexibility here than with some other authorities / agencies. I mean, whoever wants parental allowance cannot ignore it anyway, but it has to be said that people do a good job!

Hardly reachable by phone even after half an hour of waiting. The application was submitted within the deadline, then something came that was missing, too, okey, then it said the employment office was waiting for the permit, then you get the money immediately, within a week I called every day and each time it said something different at the beginning of the week it was said dan everything is ok now they have everything the payout would happen the week, today i call where my money is, i didn’t even let you talk out dan it said ya it fits so far and i get a letter and first The payout next week, don't forget why everything always takes so long when everything works out in the end. And writing by meil doesn't help either, you don't get a call or an answer by post!

I wait up to 30 minutes on the phone and then they hang up after half an hour ..... applications are processed for weeks and it takes until the money is transferred .... When I wrote that, the line was simply disconnected twice after about 10 minutes ... no idea what's going on ...
