Helpful English speaking staff. Didn't have what I wanted but was able to suggest an alternative that was suitable. Very well stocked and clean store. Also they have an on site vet.

A “pet store” with no pets.

This place is very well stocked. Better than most pet stores in the US. I chose a dog food that advertised (percentage wise) protein ratio to fillers (not sure how truthful it is) but I gave it a try. So far my dogs aren't gobbling it down yet. At least it doesn't smell like they've already digested and excreted it like some do. Almost all of their dog food is rated 5 stars. I'm not sure how that can be but who knows. My wife did have a run in with one of the employees though; a female employee said something to my wife in German, she responded in English because she doesn't speak German and the girl gave her a look of distain, said "oh English" and walked away. In the US, if an employee did that it would be a big deal with managers and supervisors involved to resolve the issue. Here it was just meh... I understand we should try to learn German and we will but we did just get here in-country. Not only that, she does work in a state formed by Americans. Many of the street names are named after US state's. Advertisement, product descriptions, and many companies and restaurants are American and in English. It would probably be pointless to have a word with her. It's not my first time here. Some (not all) are just like that. I'll give this place one more try. If we have another experience like this then we won't patronize anymore. It's not like we don't have other options.
