Only possible with a German ID card / passport or an unlimited residence permit, current account. Although I have a permanent employment contract & 1,800 € net income, the head office rejected my application. The reason is a temporary residence permit of 2 years !!! The staff are friendly

I changed to Santander Bank a year ago and am very satisfied. Before that, I was at a bank that asked for a monthly 6 euro account maintenance fee. This is not the case with the Santander. Today I got advice about a money market account and all my questions were answered. I felt like it was taking time, even though I was there without an appointment. I was with Mr. Polster, who was very nice and competent.
