Barmenia Versicherung - Lars Böhnstedt

*Service by Lars: Lars provides excellent and trusted service. As a Canadian expat in Germany, I was unaware of some of the German laws regarding legal liability. Though living here for 3 years now, Lars was the first person who made me aware of the system, my risks and my legal obligations. He also spent a lot of time explaining to me the various other insurance plans for health, accidental, etc. He gave many real-life case-study examples of the use of these various insurances, thoroughly explaining line-by-line details (translations to English of the terms and conditions). His patience was much appreciated and this level of care was above and beyond what I expected. He never pressured me to sign onto any plans and gave me as much free space and time to deliberate what was best for me and accepted my decisions. For this, I feel like I can really trust him, which is the most important quality. For insurance claims, he processes paperwork and answers emails/calls promptly. *Barmenia Insurance: From my own research, Barmenia seems to be the best insurance available in Germany, re: the comprehensive range of plans offered and the terms and conditions of those plans. I have the supplemental "mehr sehen" and "mehr zahn" plans; I was surprised at how low are the monthly payments given how generous is the coverage. In particular, there is no waiting period to use the benefits (a common clause in other insurances) -- this is so very important when you have important medical needs. I also have the premium plan liability insurance, which has a "goodwill" disposition, and I feel very safe knowing that I never have to worry about "the fine print" and find myself in a precarious situation. The cost to coverage performance is really excellent. In Canada, I would not be able to find insurances that come even close to such value.
