BARMER not in a reasonable form (customer center as presented on their website). There is no such customer center and the self-determined opening times are no longer necessary! Because of the submission of the receipts for the copayment limit reached, I was in the office on a normal Tuesday at normal time, namely 10:20 a.m. BARMER is supposed to be in the "Holzmarktpassage" now. This is an abandoned creepy building, something like it is in old crime novels, ideally suited for crime scenes where no one except the perpetrator saw the murder. Depending on the subjective impression, in the "Holzmarktpassage" one feels like an adventure trip in a ghost town (e.g. Prybjat / Ukraine, also abandoned buildings after the residents fled in 1986 and left the buildings to themselves). In better times there was probably a cinema, hairdresser, sports studios, dining facilities - but that must have been a long time ago. After a search I found a sign "BARMER" on the 1st floor in a side corridor. I followed the sign down the corridor and after 8 more steps, then around the corner on the left in another even narrower corridor I found a small locked door. So there was actually something with BARMER - earlier, in better times ... After ringing the doorbell several times, an over-the-top clerk came (looked something like a fortune teller in a circus wagon). She refused to process and had turned me off: She said there was no way for customers to appear in person and present personal things. There would also no longer be any copayment limit, so she closed the door. In the overall impression (no possibility for customer visits, side wing in the abandoned house, deserted building with closed previous facilities, refusal to process, customer processing, no possibility for customer visits) BARMER has probably given up its activity. It should not be that a clerk decides at will, benevolence and arbitrariness, whether to comply with the legal requirements or - as in this case - refuse. It would also make sense to have a customer center and that not necessarily in the back wing of a demolition house. Otherwise customers could very willingly switch to the competition. I should probably change my health insurance, it should be a good time after 30 years.

Don't go to Barmer. Those devious liars!

As always, very nice, friendly and reliable. Always satisfied for years. Top health insurance. Top office.
