Hard to reach, but appointment is a must. In case of Anmeldung, Just book an appointment online and go there, too much friendly people, ready to help as much as you need. For students- You can walk into Ausländerbehörde on every Monday and Wednesday 0900-1200 just take a token and wait for your number. Everything will be smooth and easy if you take a look on website before going there, all the information you need is available.

Since visa extension documents need to be submitted online or by mail, I did so two months ago and still haven't received my visa. They do not answer calls or e-mails. And they don't give any appointments either. What should I do? English- Since documents for visa renewal need to be submitted online or by post, i have done it both 2 months back and i have still not received my visa. They dont answer calls neither do they reply to emails. And they don't give appointments too. What am i supposed to do?

Never reachable by phone, you don't get any feedback through emails, the employees don't feel like working with foreigners and the atmosphere is terrible ... A real shame for the city of Braunschweig ...
