Very nice, competent employees who also like your job and are there for your members, there are contact persons, unfortunately not every health insurance company can say so, keep it up! 👍

Super employee, can put my applications in the mailbox, this is taught several times a day, applications go through without a long waiting time.

It's a shame if the service hotline doesn't know what's really needed. Now I'm sitting here, I have to wait unnecessarily just to change account details and that's annoying on the day of the vacation

Fast support and friendly advice.

After my studies, I went abroad for seven months (2017-2018), just like many young Europeans do today. Before that, of course, I had temporarily deregistered from the statutory voluntary health insurance for cost reasons and taken out health insurance abroad. I had pneumonia later during the trip and returned a little earlier than planned to rest with my family and have a closer look at the doctors (I returned after about six months). On the same day that I landed back in Germany, I called the AOK Lower Saxony ("Service Center Emden"). Result: I have to "register again". My health precarious situation - at the time - had no interest in this "Service Center" and my new registration took a full five weeks after several phone calls and letters. The whole thing although my breathing was extremely bad and I had described this several times. My "personal contact" could never be reached and I was passed back and forth. In my condition that was just unreasonable. I do not know whether the AOK would have ridden any paragraphs to recuperate the costs, if I had gone to the doctor like that after my "only" telephone re-registration at the time. Here, too, I did not get any support to safeguard this. After the registration, a letter also stated that I was only allowed to see doctors in ACUTE conditions for a full six months, as I have returned to voluntary health insurance. Seriously? All because I left the country for six months and deregistered from the KV? Unreasonable! I didn't emigrate! After my return, I just didn't want me and felt abandoned by the employees - even though I was insured with the AOK Lower Saxony all my life. THAT'S NOT WORKING FOR ME! My trust in the AOK Lower Saxony and especially in the employees of this "Service Center Emden" was killed by this event. I really wondered where humanity has gone to here. I expect something different from my HEALTH insurance: That my health comes first, that I am helped to preserve it and that I am not abandoned in my need. Especially when I have paid into this health insurance fund all my life. But maybe I am a dreamer in that regard. In any case, AOK Lower Saxony lost me as a lifelong customer. The uncertainty with which I had to live in my current condition and the indifference on the part of the staff at this service point I will probably never forget for my entire life. Today I'm fine again, but it is NOT thanks to AOK Lower Saxony! I hope that every long-term traveler or other people with similar situations and plans who read this can learn something from my negative experience with AOK Lower Saxony. I hope you never have to experience anything like me. Friendly greeting, Artan
