Airfield Anspach-Taunus (EDFA)

My boy has been a member of the flight club there for 3 years now. And that with great passion and seriousness. As a father, I am of course proud of his high-altitude flights and I like his high-altitude shots. But this place is also very attractive to non-flyers. Its somewhat lower location between gently rising hills is easy to look at and it is simply good for the soul to watch the planes take off and land, especially with a nice cold wheat beer in hand. It's wonderfully decelerating. The people on the square are particularly pleasant. Old and young, aviators and non-aviators. Live and let live. Nobody here asks you what you are and what you have. Everything is so pleasantly normal here. Since we live very close by, we like to come here often. And although Corona currently throws us all in a row, a visit to the biennial flight festival is always worth a visit. I'm wrong, what's on offer in aerobatics. Who knows, maybe one day our son will pull a few stripes into the sky on such an occasion? We'd love it.

Beautiful place nice people

Nice destination in the Hochtaunus for a sunny Sunday. Children are welcome, there is a lot to discover and you can get very close to the planes. There is also a small children's playground, ice cream sales, drinks, etc. Entry is free. Parking on a meadow a short distance away. Easily accessible on foot or by bike. You can spend 1-2 hours here as a family.
