The ATM in this bank kept my card due to a technical failure without any reason. I had a hard time to convince my and this bank to give it back as I was about to go on holidays 4 days later. They did not even apologize. Incredible.

Sparda Bank Bremen customer service is very unfreindly and arrogant. My german is good to communicate but when i asked if someone can explain to me some of the contracts clause that i do not understand, (as i wanted to open a new account), the woman was just like "no we do not translate any of our contracts in english, if you think you might not understand anything please bring your own translator." Come on guys, I went to Commerz bank and guess what they asked me which language i prefer....and ofcourse for serious matters like signing a bank account contract, i want to understand everything. They spoke in English all the time. Well done to Commerz Bank and shame on you Sparda.

The request to close the account was not granted. I asked for it 3 times in writing. Documents submitted later. Now they are demanding fees again, although it was verbally agreed that everything was done. Nothing. Documents are requested again. Slowly the urgent suspicion arises that the gentlemen are not in control of the business. In addition to my credit file, the documents for closing the account have probably also been lost. What's wrong with the bank here?

I have been a Sparda-Bank customer for around 20 years, but have been extremely disappointed for some time: A week ago I first turned to the hotline with a concern. A computer announcement gave me a waiting time of about 6 minutes. 25 minutes later I still had no employee on the phone and was also thrown off the line. Then I drove to the branch, where a line had already formed that reached outside to the sidewalk. So I tried to submit my request by email. I received a confirmation of receipt immediately, but I have been waiting in vain for an answer for a week. My impression is that despite the introduction of the very high account management fees, the service has deteriorated drastically, and I wonder why I am actually paying so much money.

I see it the same way and have therefore changed bank. I have been a customer there for 26 years and at the end of the day I had the feeling that I was a supplicant. The advice for 2020 was simply not followed, let alone that you would have been informed, you just got back and forth I probably didn't have enough money. Also, some employees should urgently take a course for customer service and the new fees are outrageous, if you don't do online banking you will be penalized twice, then the fees are even higher just because the interest rates are low or none at all more, the citizen has to serve again. This bank is absolutely not recommendable. And this one star, you don't deserve that either.
