EDEKA Stadler + Honner

I got discriminated in a really dingy looking supermarket!! I went on a roadtrip through Germany and made a stop here at the supermarket to get some food, at that point I had allready been in a lot of supermarkets and had no problems, so I was confident about geting in. The problems started right when I entered the place and was hit with a smell of rotting food and the judging look of everyone near me (including staff). Despite the akward feeling (and sickness due to the smell) I kept going and that was a big mistake... I went over to one of the staff members and asked first if she understood englisch, the answer I got was a disgust look and german words shout at my face that I interpreted as a no. A bit confused and feeling more and more uncomfortable I went to the next staff member I saw but he just ignored me so I decided to look for my self. Going through the hallways, struggling to understand the ingredients written in the labels, another stuff member pulled my arm and started yelling at me that I was not allowed to grab the products and put them back (or that is what I understood because he was yelling in german), this was the moment when I started feelin unsafe. After apologising I decided to just buy a Banana and get out as soon as possible, but at the checkout they didn't accept my card so I had to look for coins in my bag. This is when both staff and other costumers started yelling at me and one of the workers grab my bag and started looking in it. Overwhelmed by the situation I waited till the employee with my bag signaled me he was done to grab my stuff that she had emptied on the floor and go. At the end I got nothing but a strong feeling of unsecurity and discrimination.

Was looking for two specific items and they had neither. Rewe, Real and Globus would definitely have had them.

Top store. Especially fruits and vegetables. The blonde saleswoman very competent and accommodating

You always get a parking space. The goods (fresh fish) are really fresh. The market is clear.

I have a disability and cannot wear an MN cover. Despite a medical certificate and an exemption, I was kicked out of this shop today while my children were crying. I have never come across such discrimination.
