I have been living in Tübingen for 8 years now and have only had positive experiences with the registry office. Registration went smoothly back then, as did the re-registration after moving within Tübingen. As an Italian citizen, I was given comprehensive and competent advice on getting married. What I had to do was clear and the bureaucratic was quickly done. Even the speech of the registrar was very nice, so that we still like to remember the civil wedding today. Only recently, after the changeover to making appointments, I used the services of the registry office again to leave the church. At first skeptical, because the church resignation is not listed among the many uses in the form on the website, I simply sent an informal e-mail to the contact person named on the website for church resignation. I was replied to very quickly, information and documents were requested in advance, which I could simply send by email attachment, and 2 working days later I was there at an appointment that was convenient for me. Everything was well prepared and 5 minutes later this bureaucratic act was successfully completed. Hence at this point the long overdue praise to the employees who have competently helped me in all these matters over the years. Thank you!

Very unfriendly, always interrupted and difficult to reach. Can't help at all with problems and everything is lying anyway what you say (when I left Russia, the original documents were not returned to my parents, only copies / they have never heard anything like that, something has never happened).

What work there are unfriendly for employees is called that something is missing then you are asked if you want shared custody, about a child who died after the birth and was buried. How does the mother feel when she has to deal with the loss? And so a question asked does not check their documents, how do you get to such a question to a mother who is devastated by the loss, that is just incredible and impossible

Need for my marriage a certified expression from the birth register. After reading the many negative reviews, I was only positive Surprised that the letter was already 2 weeks later in the mailbox. Looked for the required 12 € paid and am with us to the registry office to submit the forms. Only to realize then that the form I got from Tübingen was the wrong one. And I wrote in my letter separately that I want to get married and need this particular form. 12 € for free. Let's see if it works better the second time. Can not understand how this can happen in a common process.
