Great aquarium shop, I bought 40 red neon tetra and 15 phoenix tetra there 3 weeks ago and had no failures .. I have never seen a shop where the fish are caught so carefully and carefully

I moved from Dellbrück to Bergisch Gladbach and spend an average of around 500 euros a year on my hobby. I just wanted to buy a few standard fish (neons, small, red angelfish and swordtails) and look for a local shop. The contrast to the store in Dellbrück couldn't be greater. As a non-smoker, I almost backed out, except for one employee, the small shop was empty, the aquariums are not even remotely furnished with hiding places and I couldn't spot any of the above fish. Of course, I also asked briefly and was then happy to be out again quickly and will not come back - as requested by the owner in one of the reviews below. Expectations and offers do not match here. But since I had read the reviews here beforehand, in fairness I have to say that I did not know that it was a WHOLESALE and NOT a retail trade and that part of the shop was apparently separated because of CoViD-19 - I was by no means aware of that. That's why I probably compared apples with pears - but I'm also really intolerant when people smoke in shops. I would therefore recommend that you leave the end customer business behind so that you don't have to get annoyed by such reviews. It would have saved me 40 minutes because of the rush hour.

I can only partially rate this business. When we got in there, the employee still had a customer there. He and the other colleague saw us, but after the customer was gone, both of them disappeared into the back room and never came out again?!? So I can't classify the store as customer-oriented. I can't say anything about the quality of the advice, as no employee was present, as described above. Now to the business itself: The pools were dirty and very spartan, they said there were ONLY fish in them (dead and living). Well, bad luck for the fish species that need hiding places ... I won't go there again, of course.

Unfortunately the selection by Corona is a bit small but nevertheless it was great and all questions were answered. We were also advised against an animal because of the existing stock, which I think is great since it is primarily about the small ones and not about the devil come out of making money. We will be back definitely.

Don't let first impressions fool you. There is no annoying marketing or ostentatious window dressing here. Here you will find concentrated specialist knowledge, top fish, all basins are individually filtered, a new, disinfected net is used every time fish is removed ...... super nice people. Many Thanks!!!
