If you come from Krefeld main station, you can use the Hansa-Centrum in the direction of the shopping street, as a passage. In the opposite direction, you can reach the central station by walking through the Hansa-Centrum. As a service, the Hansa-Centrum has a digital display showing the travel times of the respective trains. In the middle of the Hansa-Centrum, on the ground, a compass with the cardinal directions is displayed. I could observe from the cafe, which takes place in north-south, or also in south-north direction most of the movement in the Hansa center.
