Regardless of where you call or ask in writing, constantly false statements with the aim of preventing patients from receiving the information and thus payments they are entitled to. There seems to be a properly practiced scam or even negligently accepted arbitrariness or incompetence behind it. The main thing is that the little people have to pay for it, the DAK is not interested as long as they have to pay less of the money that patients are legally entitled to. The fact that sick people are deprived of their already poor livelihood and that even more stress is caused seems to be the main concern of the DAK and to spread satisfaction to the employees there. Seems as if they are being trained to act solely in the financial interests of the health insurance company. Not particularly surprising, but shocking how vehemently it is implemented.
