Beggars and hustlers. Seems like what took over a beautiful place. It's a shame. Beware of pickpockets and don't take ANY paper or napkins from strangers.
Otherwise it's beautiful. The grass and architecture nearby. The statues. All beautiful.
The lack of tourism has impacted the area in many ways. Many of my favorite places have closed. Still, always worth a visit.
Beautiful Quito Historical Center... Safe to walk, a lot of security guards all around
This is a great historical place. It resembles the historical piazzas in Italy. However, there are a lot of spooky people and thieves around. So, I would definitely not recommend traveling around this please with a family, especially during the night.
Really nice place to take a walk on Quito's downtown (historical center)
