My dad and I took a bike ride from Baños (rented quality mountain bikes for $10/per person for entire day!). There are many stops along the way and then we hooked up the hikes outside El Pablo Del Diablo. Walked about 20 minutes to the waterfall and saw its stunning and powerful beauty. I recommend going in from both entrances because you will experience going under the waterfall where we entered but on the opposite side you will be able to stare and tske some real quality photos capturing it's epic essence.
It was a nice place, we got there by riding a bike, its not so far or difficult to get there. Wonderful views of some waterfalls and finally the big one and the cool stone stairs.
I won’t ever go back to Baños without visiting this place again and again. Absolutely an impressive waterfall by any measure, and a very pleasant walk to get there. Thirty minutes by public bus and an easy walk to the Nueva Entrada from the bus which stops at Rio Verde where you must get off, cross a broad empty lot which appears to double as a soccer field and parking lot, and then sort of follow your nose, looking slightly up to the street to the right for an alley where you turn left, and then go downhill toward the water. Poorly marked but if you look at the photos I post here it should be easy to find, nonetheless.
A must-see when in Banos de Agua Santa. It's such an awe inspiring waterfall. There are two routes to see it. The lower route is on a dirt path downhill and takes you to the lower viewing areas. It's a tough climb when going back to the parking lot. The upper route is much shorter. There are great views at the top, but being at the lower viewing areas offers a much more impressive view. When you leave you're given a ticket so you can cross a bridge and see the full waterfall from another angle.
Beautiful waterfall at the edge of the rainforest! I recommend taking a tour on the colorful bus.
