Service is horrible, we had to wait 1.5h for our car just to discover they want to charge twice the amount of our rental extra on insurance and won’t accept our credit card insurance. They dropped the price from 33euros a day on that insurance to 10 euros after a long fight. Shame on you Avis

Horrible service and aggressive staffnIt is straining enough to cross the big pond. The last thing you expect after waiting your luggage and the custom is to wait for slmost an hour to get your rental cat. We chose Avis as we wanted to avoid the wait at Budget. Well it is a combined Avis/Budget agency. To wait you have to take a ticket. After one hour our number came on screen and we head to Esteban, counter #2. But Esteban signaled another customer without customer to come at the counter. We signaled we were nextbin line. This irritated Esteban who said “I called you 7 times” . A blunt lie. After this we have to stand all the nasty comments he was making about us to his laughing colleagues. Truly abusive, inappropriate and unprofessional. I strongly advise to avoid Avis/Budget altogether. The humiliation is not worth it

Beware! If you rent a car online, once you get to the office they will start adding charges that can double and even triple the initial amount. I suspect it's so especially gor tourists because initially we (Spanish citizens living locally) got a quote online but when my sister tried to rent it (she has US address) the prices went up 20%. I don't know if it's the same all over the world but I find these practices fraudulent. A 300€ car (initially a BMW, but finally a Citroen) turned out to cost 1,100€. This is Spain.

Watch out for Avis! When you try to reserve a vehicle, they charge you instantly and then send you an email saying that they do NOT have the vehicle available. After a few complaints, they return it to you. This does not seem like a non-legal procedure.
