CHEAP BUT COMPLICATED-nnWe reserved a car for 2 weeks for a total of nearly €150. The price was great, however the access to the establishment was not. We had to take a bus to the airport, walk quite a bit within the airport to them end up outside and waiting for a shuttle bus to take us to the establishment. All in all, it was about a 2 hour process from the time we began the journey until we got the vehicle.nnAlso... READ THE FINE PRINT! We booked with a credit card and upon arriving were told they could not accept that cc as it was an Amex. Great price, but go with caution!

The staff were nice, and I wasn't charged any extras nor for any damage. However, the car was old and we had to keep checking and adjusting the tyre pressure. When we collected the car, the AC was weak. We drove South in the middle of summer and three days later the AC wasn't working at all anymore (it became clear that it needed a new load). We tried calling the office we collected the car from, but the only number provided didn't correspond to the province and the calls were automatically redirected to a recorded voice message instructing customers to write an e-mail to customer services instead of calling (except in the case of an accident or breakdown on the road). So we wrote an e-mail requesting to exchange the car (as we'd booked one with AC!), since we knew there was a RecordGo office two hours away from where we were staying during our two week holiday. It's been three weeks and no reply whatsoever. The last 7 days of our holiday we just stayed in, as it was too hot to drive in a car without AC and we had ended up with heatstroke. When it was time to make out way back to Barcelona, the 5 hour drive had to be done in the middle of the night, as it was not possible to drive during the day in that kind of heat. It completely ruined and wasted our holiday, our time and our money, and left us exhausted for days. There is no excuse, they just couldn't be bothered to fix the issue by providing a car matching what we'd booked! When I mentioned this when returning the car, they told me it would have been fixed if I had called them directly. But their number doesn't appear online, nor on the documentation they provide!nAs a response to the car rental's reply: the number provided, which you indicate, does not carry the prefix of a BCN province landline; besides, calling this number only leads to an automated voice message being played.

Fantastic rental. Great price, fast, efficient and courteous service. They have nice range of vehicles which are modern and in good condition. They pick you up and drop you to the airport for free with a shuttle bus. It's just a short 5 min drive away. I would definitely book with them again. I'm surprised by the bad reviews, my experience was totally positive.

Fast service, very competitive prices, good vehicles & transport to/from the terminals.nBus stop in front if coming from the city. For sure I will check their offers again when going to Spain and Portugal.

Great car service at reasonable prices.nnI have used RecordGo several times over the past year, and each time they have delivered a good product. I have once had problems with my car, and it was easily fixed by returning to the car rental, and leaving in a new car.nnA few things to note so you have the best experience: I buy the 'Just Go' package, which includes the Total Comfort cover upfront, so you do not have to leave any deposit (except fuel), it is well worth the extra price as your rental then becomes essentially hassle free, furthermore I ask for specific models (or buy minor upgrades), for instance the Skodas are not really that great cars compared the Hyundai's in the same price range. Long-term rentals are cheaper, as is taking advantage of the periodical campaigns they run.nnThe staff at the office near BCN are helpful, their customer support is fine, and they give me what I require from a car rental agency.
