Don’t rent a car from either thrifty or hertz. Pre-ordered a car for 10:00, been waiting two hours in line and still waiting. Not possible to cancel or rebook the car booking online and I have to wait in line to get served. Possible another two hours.

Chaotic organization. Plan at least an hour for getting your car, EVEN THOUGH you booked it online in advance. They are dramatically overwhelmed with the clients. We booked a car online a day before, waited 45min in the queue. As we finally got to the check in the guy was friendly but it took another half an hour until he got a car for us... Even though we booked it online and we only needed it only for one day, it was not sure that we will get one.nThe car was nice, we even got an upgrade. Return of the car was with no problems everything fine with that.nBut I cannot recommend this car rental.

Had a decent experience renting a car here. Show up early if possible to beat the crowd. I showed up before 8 and was in and out. Retrieving the car is a little difficult as you must go down 5 floors once you find the elevator which is around the block and then drive out from 5 floors down. They said I could not extend my rental at all and I asked what would happen if I just didn’t bring it back until later like I want and they said I would be charged for an extra day, that’s it. Long story short i was charged a small admin fee but that’s it. Unlimited KM included which is nice, put over 1000 km in 2 days. Car was clean and ran well.

I don't know if it is because I use Thrifty in Sants on a monthly basis, but have had a 90% great experience with them. I defected to Firefly (horrific and the 500€ deal ended up being over 1100€ in the end , for a car that was covered in dog hair and filth when I picked it up), Enterprise (good experience, but not as affordable) and Goldcar (shocking amount of time they hung onto my deposit and additional charges a month after I took the car back)and now just keep hitting Thrifty as I never get surprises of the nasty kind and I swear it is the easiest pick up and drop off around, all without the airport additional taxes...
