A very beautiful town especially for lovers of street art. An hour's drive from Valencia, it is worth getting lost in the streets of Fanzara surrounded by street art.

The area where it is located is mountainous and full of beautiful rivers. Fanzara is a charming little town to spend a few days. It has two bars, the best and which also has daily menus is the Dabajo bar; You can also find a small shop with various things: vegetables, fruits, cans, cold cuts, drinks ... but it is really expensive, a 1.5L bottle of water for Cortes and two nectarines cost us € 2.7; and there is also a very rich bakery with a normal price. The water sources are drinkable. In summer this town and those around are celebrating. The neighbors there are very polite and friendly. Fanzara is at a key point to see the beautiful landscapes of mountains and rivers that are nearby. From there you can access the Mijares River on foot, just 15 km away we can bathe in the Villahermosa River that passes through different towns: Algerian, ludient, ... About 18 km on the other side we find Ribesalbes, with a great reservoir called Sichar. There are picnic areas 5km from Ribesalbes on the same lake. You can do water activities at popular prices with the company Sagrantana Aventura. about 32 km is Montanejos and the source of the baths. In Fanzara we stayed at the Castellet, it is a beautiful rural hotel but with the basics and no extras, there is no gel or shampoo in the rooms, there is no dryer or air conditioning (although the latter is not necessary, because it is quite good ) and the cleaning of the room is not carried out daily by the people in charge (which does not bother me, mostly because I do not like to have access to the room when my things are inside, so this is something positive for some and negatives for others...)
