We were robbed right in front of the Sixt pick up point at Madrid Airport. Our loss was thousands of Euros, 2 laptops, and much more. The Sixt staff was not assisting with calling the Police. They clearly stated that security cameras in the parking do not work and that this happens every day, sometimes several times per day. Nevertheless when registering at the desk the staff did not warn or notify us of such threat. This is a criminal activity that is systematic and I would expect Sixt to install a security system, notify their clients verbally and with stickers to avoid this. Really disappointing.

We rented a car for 11 days picking up at Madrid Airport and dropping off at the Granada City Office. The agent we checked out the car with was very friendly and not pushy in upgrading the vehicle or services (we chose none). We were originally issued a brand new car, which was nice, but our suitcases did not fit. The agent quickly switched us to a different model within the class we reserved. This car had quite a few scratches and dents. We went over them with another agent and pointed out additional scratches and dents that we found. He said he marked them in the computer but could not provide us with an updated list of damages. Upon returning the car, we learned the damages were not updated in the computer system and we were charged an additional 300 Euros. This is the first time I’ve been charged for damage to a rental car. I will not be renting from Sixt again.

I rented for 11 days. I cannot describe how disappointed I am from Sixt ES customer service. But let's begin: - I had a flat tyre on Friday evening. From Friday evening to Tuesday I was trying by email and telephone to contact Sixt so I can get an answer on what action I had to take for the tyre. Finally the informed me to change the tyre locally on Tuesday. For 6 days I was with the spare tyre (80km/h top speed). I sent to [email protected] to claim a partial refund for the days I could not use the maximum operation of the car because of their inability to inform me, but they denied. - I gave back the car in person and the employee informed me that everything is ok (no damages etc) and printed the final invoice. After five days Sixt charged my card with 45 euro.s I checked my statement and send them to check why I was charged more than contract. They replied that they charged me for more than acceptable dirty car. It is the first time after at least 20 rentals that they informed me after deliver for extra charges. All in all 1 out of 5 stars is a compliment for Sixt ES but is the miminum I can choose.
