I booked through autoeurope, on their website, InterRent is near 5 starts rating, but now after the event I read google review, it was 1 star! I wished I'd read the reviews on Google first. IT'S THE WORST COMPANY EXIST TO DATE, WHY ARE THEY STILL TRADING? The moment they take a deposit from your bank account, they've had you. Whatever you do, don't paid for their 190Euro insurance, they will take the deposit regardless whether any accident is your fault or not. They will just blame you, i.e. if the car is on fire, it's your fault because your driving style over heated the engine. In my case, one tyre went flat shortly after picking up, and they kept 450Euro out of my 800 deposit, and refused to give me a replacement car. I lost all my 10 days booking charge, plus 450euro of my deposit! I will never use a Spanish company for anything again. I can totally understand why UK has to leave the EU, how could trading regulation in the EU allow company such as this to exist?!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The worst car rental experience in my life! It starts cheap but you will pay more in the end. The use scare tactics to sale you their extra insurance and other features at check-in. They charged me 120 euros extra on fees exchange, and it took more than a month and 3 written complaints to refund me the car deposit I had in my credit card. This is unacceptable.

This company tried to rip us off in 3 separate ways with our car hire from Madrid airport. 1). We had hired a large car as we knew we would be moving furniture etc. They tried to get us to take a lower value / smaller car. 2). Next they tried to force us to buy their additional insurance. Despite showing our proof of insurance etc. He then told us he would have to block our credit card with a €1400 deposit for over a month (our rental was 5 days) and that we would have to pay credit card exchange rate fees that (surprise surprise) would be more expensive than their insurance policy. 3. Finally they tried to claim we damaged the car. Thankfully I had taken photos of the car at pick up, and could prove the damage was already present. In short, this company tried every trick going to squeeze more cash from customers. Avoid using this company.

The only company that closed on time and didn't wait a few minutes for our delayed flight and the cancelled our reservation for No show even though at the phone they told us we could pick the car up the following day. Our flight was delayed. We called InterRent and told them that we were arriving a few minutes after midnight. They closed at midnight and we were in front of the office at 6 minutes past midnight. When we landed (about 23:45) we tried to call them again to confirm that we were just a few minutes late but it was not possible to reach them anymore. They had the flight number so they could have known that we were there. We run but we didn't make it. Of course due to this we couldn't reach our hotel, which was not in the centre of Madrid and therefore it was reachable only with a 30 min Taxi Drive, which was expensive. We ended to stay the whole night in the airport as hotels around the airport were super expensive and we had to wait until the following morning in the airport to pick up the car. We waited because the person from InterRent who spoke with us at the phone said that, if we could not have made it for the night, we could have picked our car up at 7 am of the following morning when the office was opening again. We went to the office at 7 am and they told us that our reservation was cancelled due to "no show". We were shocked! At the phone they said that we could have picked up at 7 am and then we found out that there was no car for us anymore! As a note: all other companies were still open at 00:06 even though they also at closing time scheduled for midnight.

Ademas los empleados fueron mal educados, servicio horrible. Nunca alquiles en esta empresa. Ubicación: Madrid aeropuerto Gold Car and Interrent charged me 1300€ for something we did not do. They physically shook the trunk of the car to damage it on purpose. They gave us an old rusty car and blamed us for all the scratches already on it. Employees were disrespectful and called us names. They made us return home three times claiming we needed more documents to rent the car. They made us wait in a slow and long line up. One of them had blue hair and she condescended us. This is not a respectable company. We don't know why they are still permitted to be running. Just read all the other reviews about them on Instagram, TripAdvisor, and others. DO NOT trust them and DO NOT rent from them.
