Choosing a car rental company at the airport was made stressful by all the awful feedback on various forums. Relieved to say that Thrifty was great - friendly service, not pushy at all about insurance etc.,full to full fuel policy and the car was brand new.

Made a reservation through the us site. The rate was misleading and included no admin fee €40, tax €100, fuel €50 and no collision damage waiver. They charged €260 to reduce the liability from the full cost of the car to a €1000 excess. They did not explain the fuel policy - it was actually full to full but they charged for a full tank at an inflated price when there was a half tank. The whole hire cost more than 3 times the amount indicated on the reservation. Admin and tax fees are not extras as they are mandatory. Presumably no one will drive a car without insurance so I consider the cdw to be mandatory also.

Fraud!! I booked a car on rentalcars, paid by debit card (higher price) but at the delivery of the car they did not accept my card because it did not have the name printed (which was not mentioned before). So we walked to the airport and they didn't want to pay us back. The girl at the counter liquidated us in 5 min not understanding the enormous inconvenience caused to us. Absolutely avoid the company and do not pay before

Cheaper than the others. The only thing that was small and with few flights but for what it served. Save me some money and there was no delay
