The law obliges municipalities to take care of the animals that live in their municipality, protecting them under the framework of animal protection, we hope that the Benidorm City Council will change the mistreatment of feline colonies by the CER method. Capture Sterilization Return Benidorm is not complying with the laws that oblige them to care for and protect animals, threatening the volunteer caregivers of the colonies in their absurdities

Due to the (bad) treatment they give to feral cats, the city council is responsible for their good management and they must collaborate with the volunteers to carry out an ethical and efficient management of the municipal colonies by applying CER and common sense

What this City Council is doing with Feral cats and their feeders could be constitutive of the crime typified in art. 337 of the Criminal Code, in relation to who, by any means or procedure, unjustifiably mistreats an animal, causing it injuries that seriously undermine its health. The fact of not feeding the animals is a serious form of mistreatment, especially when it is also the responsibility and obligation of the City Council, to guarantee the welfare of the animals that inhabit the streets of the municipality. Not only do they fail to do their duty, but they also prevent those who do that important work from carrying it out. These facts imply that the individuals that make up the feline colonies of the municipality do not have adequate food and care, posing a serious risk to their health, as well as the violation of their rights and those of their caregivers.
