I agree with Nestor: this place is run by con artists! We really felt that they cheated on us. We had a reservation for 3 days unlimited kilometer. When we arrived Europcar said that because of our creditcard they can't give out the car. We travel a lot and have taken Europcar in France several times as well as in Belgium without any problems, with the same card. After some discussion they told us that if we are buying a third party liability insurance for 35 Euro per day they will be able to give us the car. This is not true we never had a third part liability insurance in any European country! Anyway, at the same time the clerc told us that because of the insurance Europcar will only take 100 Euros in deposit instead of 600. That was also a lie! When we checked our account we had a deposit sum of 600 Euros. Three weeks after coming home they have yet not repay a part of the deposit, and in all we payed twice the amount in car hire. Be aware of the tricksters at Europcar staff, Barcelona airport! I will never again use Europcar in Spain! Jag håller med Nestor: denna plats drivs av bedragare! Vi kände oss verkligen lurade. Vi reser mycket och har hyrt bil genom Europcar i Frankrike flera gånger såväl som i Belgien utan problem, med samma kort. Efter en viss diskussion berättade de att om vi köper en ansvarsförsäkring för tredje part för 35 euro per dag kommer de att kunna ge oss bilen. Detta är inte sant vi har aldrig haft en tredje part ansvarsförsäkring i något europeiskt land! Hur som helst, samtidigt talade försäljaren vid disken om att på grund av att vi tagit försäkringen kommer Europcar bara att ta 100 euro i deposition istället för 600. Det var också en lögn! När vi kontrollerade vårt konto hade vi ett depositionsbelopp på 600 euro. Tre veckor efter att vi kommit hem har de ännu inte betalat tillbaka en del av depositionen, och totalt betalade vi två gånger beloppet i biluthyrning. Var medvetna om dessa bluffmakare som var väldigt påstridiga (de hotade med att inte ge oss bilen som vi beställt om vi inte tar extra försäkringen) hos Europcars personal på Barcelona flygplats när ni ska hyra en bil! Jag kommer aldrig mer att använda Europcar i Spanien! (Detta går även att läsa på min Facebook och Twitter.)

This place is run by con artists. I had a reservation for 175 euros. When I arrive, they say that because I made the reservation through the US website but I have a European rather than US passport, I have to buy third-party liability insurance (200 euros in addition to the reservation price of 175). They say it's "company policy" to require Europeans (but not US citizens) to pay for that insurance (This was just a lie; when a few days later I picked up a car from Europcar in a different European country I was not required to buy any insurance). I wasn't willing to pay more than twice the reservation price, so I asked them to cancel the reservation but they wouldn't do it, they said I had to do it online (even though it's not possible to cancel online after the reservation time has already passed). A few days later they charge me 95 euros as no-show fee, even though I was there and I didn't pick up the car just because they wouldn't honor the price of my reservation.

IS A GOTCHA!!!! Attention being August 22, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. I come by taxi (it cost € 30) to rent a car from this company. I am served by the worst person you can have. Trying to rip me off by offering me almost the same car for double the money. Since I did not have the car and the page says yes. We had to call the police. He did not want us to cancel the reservation. They are thiefs. Do not rent in this company !!!!
