VERY BAD AND DISHONEST OR UNRELIABLE SYSTEM: The original price is attractive, but be aware that this figure may double as it happened to me. Hertz system and operators seems totally unreliable, they send you messages that you have not return the vehicle while it actually was, they apologies but still charge you in the final invoice for a late return!!, they charge you for 31 liters fuel right after you fill the tank at the nearest gas station, they charge you 1.854 Euro/L although it is at approx 1.153 Euro/liter in all gas station in the region...nice benefit for the company who charges customer 160% of the fuel standard value... CONCLUSION: DONT TRUST HERTZ RENT THROUGH ANOTHER AGENCY

I was so scared to rent a car in Barcelona because of all the bad reviews. I honestly thought that it might not be worth it if there were going to be hidden fees and people taking advantage of me because I don't speak Spanish very well... Well, that DIDN'T HAPPEN. Hertz was great. I got the type of car that I rented online and I wasn't charged any extra fees for anything. I highly recommend going with Hertz in Barcelona. I think that most of the people who post reviews do so because they have bad experiences. But, my experience was awesome. Rent the car and go exploring! It's worth it in Spain!!

Very rude attitude. Example: A: are you going out of Spain? Me: I have no plans but it doesn't say anything in the reservation about not being able to go out of Spain. A: I'm telling you now that you can't, otherwise pay extra. They also made me sign any accident, be my fault or not, I'll be responsible for up to 30000€. Avoid.

Awful service! Booked a car one month in advance (which was listed on the website), but upon arrival they said it was not available. We wanted to cancel our reservation. But instead of helping us to do it, they sent us to mobile app to do it ourselves, which, of course, caused us to pay additional late cancellation fee. No car + extra 45 euro charge for nothing. PS: Credit cards are also the only option in there. They do not accept debit ones, which is no problem in Scandinavia. Such a pity for Hertz. Had only positive experience before with it. PPS: MAKE SURE YOU TAKE FULL INSURANCE WHILE IN BARCELONA. Thieves break in cars just like that. Six cars a day: real statistics I personally heard from Europcar. Good luck!
