Europcar

This is the 2nd year we have used Europcar with no problems. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Double check the car and take pictures, even if you are late (I had to wait for one hour to be attended). The car got a small damage, probably when I was parked as I didn't notice anything. Then I had to pay 84 euros because I did not fill in a car accident report ! And that is without damages price (200 euros). Great way to treat your customers. And the car was not new.

I have collected a car from Valencia airport in August 2018. As I booked and prepaid via tour operator, I requested the Europcar Rental officer to add ONLY windscreen+ tyres and head lights cover, she sold me it for 126$. I waited 45 min because their system was crashed, and when she gave me the contract I signed trusting what she said. Once in the hotel, 20 min after getting the vehicle, I checked the contract and saw that they charged me double of the price because the rental officer included another insurance, RSA Plus cover, which I have never requested. I was charged 60€ for a cover never requested. I tried calling the station many times, with no success. The calls were redirected to reservations team, that said also not able to contact the Valencia station. I contacted Europcar Spain customer service department via email the day after. Initially, they declined checking the case because my rental was still open. I contacted them again after end of the rental and they replied to my email 15 days later, saying that they were not considering any refund for my case because I had signed the contract. I am totally unhappy for this unsatisfactory service provided by Europcar Valencia airport station. I am frequent traveler and a regular customer and This is the first time I had similar issue after so many years with Europcar. My advice is BE CAREFUL before you sign anything, check properly contract and vehicle before leaving. I will never hire Europcar in Valencia airport again. Maybe in other countries, but I will never hire from this specific location again.

Disgusting service. Rude and arrogant attitude. Rent at Hertz or someone.

Terrible service. They made us wait about 1 hour due to "system issues" after we refused upsale pitch of the rental which was about €1000 more then we booked for. Pls check your bill carefully, the woman at the counter tried to add all sort of unnecessary stuff claiming that it is mandatory for the American passport holders. Someone needs to clean out the house here!
