I decided only a few weeks in advance to book a tour in Ethiopia for holiday and I am so glad I found Ethio tours! Melese organised everything really well and was in communication to check on things when I was with local guides. The use of local guides is amazing and I learned so much from them. Muchaw in Lalibela was especially great and he knew a lot about the area and just about everyone in the city. It was great to see a mix of city and countryside in just four days. The hotels were all excellent, clean and comfortable. Gondar and Lalibela hotels also had great views! Airport transfers worked well. All of the restaurants for lunch and dinner were very good and I enjoyed the traditional music and dance show in Addis. I would definitely recommend this company! My one recommendation is to put a little more detail in the daily itinerary. Thank you!

This must be close to the original location of the Garden of Eden. Simply beautiful in the lushness if tropical nature. Highly recommended for a meditative encounter with the sublime power of nature's grandeur.

I recently did a trip of Addis, bahir Dar ,Lalibela, Axum, Gonder, Omo Valley, and Harar with friends. We negotiated an action packed itinerary with Mr. Melese  at Ethio  tours Bylocals . We had a few requests along the way to add certain sites that were within drives of our main destinations (we liked Yeha ,Lalibela omo vally  ). Everything went extraordinarily smoothly. We had car/driver and guides at each location and had no problems with transfers or people's English. All the local guides were excellent. We got all the best hotels (although don't expect much in some towns). Ethio Tours and contacts were easy to reach during all parts of the trip. We found Ethiopia fascinating and while our traveling pace .  we got the most out of it. If you are thinking of a trip, use them. They are a huge asset in a big country like Ethiopia . Ethio tours bylocals  is an excellent, very friendly and highly professional company.

Me and my girlfriend were in Ethiopia last fubrary and we booked our holidays Via local Travel Agent called Ethio Toursbylocals managed by Melese Aychew High Rated Tour Guide By Trip adviser and ToursbyLocals , We took a ten days Driving tour around Northern Ethiopia . We started from Bahir Dar continued to Gonder ,Simen-mountains , Axum ,Yeha ,Geralta clusters , Denakel Depressions . We were linked up with local guides in each place - they were incredibly knowledgable and we greatly enjoyed getting to understand the country through their eyes. In this way we really felt that the trip benefitted local people more than other big tour groups that did not use local guides. Everything was well organized and we loved the personal attention and the communication that we received. Everything was explained well, but in a very personal way. So it felt more than just a standard trip. Our Guide know every detail of the county. In my opinion it was like having good friends showing you their country and making you as comfortable as possible. They did an excellent job, we highly Recomand Ethio ToursByLocals . Great trip! We loved the country and everything it has to offer! We couldn't recommend it more! MELESE organised the tour perfectly and it all ran very smoothly.
