Hotel Lammergeyer

Small rooms without magnificent views. Furniture is old, but operational. You will have noisy night if your window toward road or toward garden where celebrated something. Sometimes I don't have warm water, electricity for hours. Wifi was bad, but it was! The best place for catch wifi near reception. If you don't have high demands you can choose this hotel.

Poor service ! You get the menu and someone will take your order after hours

We left this hotel shortly after checking in, after hearing a rat (definitely louder and heavier than a mouse) squeaking and running around in the ceiling above the bed. We immediately informed the staff, who acknowledged the problem but said there was no need to change rooms as it would be quiet after 8pm, and besides, the hotel was fully booked. On refusing to stay in the room, the staff said there were actually other rooms available but they would need to check with the manager whether we could move as we had made use of the room (showered/sat on the bed). By this point, we were so exasperated by the situation we decided to move to another hotel. The manager appeared and shouted at us, saying we had to pay for the room. We refused and left. At no time did staff apologise for there being a rat at their property, let alone acknowledge that this is a serious problem which puts guests' health at risk (in the hotel itself, or customers in the lively garden area which serves as a restaurant/bar). We stayed at various types of accommodation during our Ethiopia holiday (including city centre hotels, rural lodges) and did not experience any such problems elsewhere. This review was submitted to the website we booked through in February, I’m posting it here because the website rejected the review as we did not complete the overnight stay.

I love it. But it has no pleace for children's to play

One of the better restaurants in Gonder with reasonable prices
