Afropolitan Hotel

This is the best hotel for a cheap price in the middle of downtown.

The location, the room and the staffs are friendly, but the service is not. We arrived as a family to stay for month of January. We asked through our representative if there is any payment we need to do before we checked in. He was told to not to worry, we can make the payment during check out. We checked in for 6 room for different times (three for 2 weeks and 3 for one month). We received calls in different time to ask if we were checking out (we already gave them the dates we were staying, and asking to make a payment). We asked if we can have an extra bed for child, the staffs say they will ask and get back to us, but no respond until we had 4 days left to check out (we stayed for 3 weeks without the bed, once the owner came they want to place the bed). Breakfast is cold. When you ask something from the menu and if it is out already they will not make it for example french toast. what ever is out needs to be done before they make another one. The owner changes rules and ways of doing things which makes the hotel not to be reliable. One day he says we need to make payment, another day when we call for room service, the staff will tell us there is no room service starting today (when we ask why, even if we pay the room service, she would say the owner said so) Fridges are present but does not work, lamps by the beds does not work and watch out for cockroaches now and then. If you are looking for hotel to stay for more than 2 or 3 days, look for another hotel. This is not The Place!!

The rooms were nice. Hot shower and a cosy bed. Excellent service as well. Coffee was awesome. The chicken pizza though was kinda wanting.

Excellent hotel in Addis. Best meal I have eaten in Ethiopia. The shower was amazing and the beds are very comfortable. There are stunning views at night from the terrace. The owner and staff provide wonderful service. Best hotel in Addis at an affordable price.

Management is so poor. The owner is arrogant, disrespectful and creepy. Roaches shared the room but never paid my bill. Breakfast was served the same meal everyday and dead cold. Rules change time to time. Expect unexpected in the hotel whenever planning to leave your room. I'm outta here!!
