Bahir Dar Airport, also known as Ginbot Haya Airport, is an airport serving Bahir Dar, the capital city of the Amhara Region in Ethiopia. The name of the city and airport may also be transliterated as Bahar Dar. Bahir Dar airport is located 8 km west of Bahir Dar, near the Lake Tana.

It's a decent little airport. They get your bags quickly and the wifi is surprisingly good.

Airport is clean, staff is nice. There is a small souvenir shop and traditional cafe in the lobby. Prices are fair, for some goods even better than in the souvenir shops near the lake. The restaurant upstairs is fine, with nice view on the runway. Internet connection in the restaurant was good, however it was not working at all in other spaces of the airport.
