it is not what you see in the picture....average room...very bad service...they don't have even enough drinks....very disappointing

Amazing view with unforgettable sunset! Nice room, restaurants and pool.I would like to say thanks to Tesefa and Muluken. And all the stuff are amazing and good food.

It has by far the best view to the jungles as it is situated on the highest hills of Arbaminch, Rooms are decent and the service was good, you will love the friendly staffs...Dont miss the sun rise while you stay there.. Amazing View!!

One of the worst hotel/resort that I have stayed in. The rooms were not of standard, doesn't have tv in some of the rooms, no AC, doesn't have wifi. The first night we stayed in, we almost spend the night without electricity because they didn't inform their technician and we end up switching rooms in the dark. They ask you to pay up first saying the 50% discount is about to end but in fact it was on for the past 3 years and they use that excuse so you pay upfront and then they don't even bother to check if you're happy with your stay or not. Me and my friends paid for three days but we left Emerald before our time is up (leaving the money too, cause they refused to refund) and stayed at Haile Hotel and Resort. The manager at Emerald, called Mark, is one of the worst managers i have encountered in my history of travel, he just keeps saying "that's the only thing i can do and nothing more". The pool was filthy and so dirty too. A very disappointing stay indeed. Overall the location and view from rooms were good but the service was just un-explainable. DO NOT GO!!!!

The view from Emerald lodge is truly fantastic. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. And the staff are friendly and hospitable. One thing we weren't happy about was agreeing on a very high price for a special BBQ to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday, we were expecting a celebration feast with lots of fish. In reality the BBQ was very basic and we were left hungry for fish. We understand Covid is a hard time but when a loyal customer pays a lot for an experience it's important to deliver something considered and special. I don't know where all the money went, certainly not on fish and 40th birthdays don't happen twice. But we really like the lodge and will be back, just make sure you negotiate if you want something that isn't on the menu.
