Aire de Camping Car Chartres

Very good free location close to the centre of Chatres. Waste bins but no other facilities for disposal. About 35 minutes walk to the cathedral. Site has shade from trees, it’s along a fairly busy road but quiet overnight.

What a gem Chartres is, including this free parkspace. A 30 minutes pleasant walk from the towncenter, an ideal spot to walk our dog Nyong’o. Supermarché within a 5 minutes walkingdistance. For those who need showers & the works, there is a camping around the corner. Lovin’ it. We’ll be Bach.

Great central location in Chartres. Short term or overnight parking for 30 motor homes by roadside and under trees. 35 mins walk to Chartres centre and cathedral (also by bus). Parking only, no facilites, free.

Three stars which correspond to the three main qualities of this place. One star because this car park is very large so there is always room even in high season. a second star because it is very well located in Chartres and finally a third star because each place is demarcated between two trees but suddenly it loses a star because some branches are too low and touch the top of the motorhome. I also remove another star because there is no possibility of emptying the wastewater (which is unacceptable for a big city like Chartres with such a beautiful cathedral)

Very practical that's all there is the road plus the train
