Camping Le Verger

Great spot, helpful staff. Not too good unterground to set up tent.

I had the good fortune to find this site and stay a night whilst cycling from Reading, UK to Bilbao, Spain. The owners were friendly and knowledgeable about La Velodyssee and even showed me some alternative bits of the route that meant I could take in the sights of a citadel whilst saving a little distance. The facilities were more than adequate, the shop stocked with all I needed and the crepe van that visited the night I was there was really good. Without doubt, this was the most bicycle friendly campsite I found on my journey and would highly recommend it.

MARVELLOUS CAMPSITE! Friendly and helpful, set amongst fruit trees and flowers. We biked into La Rochelle for the Film Festival every day and had a great time. We will be coming back again next year without a doubt.

Lovely site with plenty of shade. Very nice on site owners. A bit retro in a very nice way. Not lots of facilities but we did not want them and what there is is fine. One big problem. There are two dog kennels nearby. If the sound of barking and howling dogs would be a problem you may wish to look elsewhere. Shame as other wise a great peaceful site.

Nice camping and good people. Perfect for familys and surfers. Small prices. I will come here more often in the future.
