Finding the tone cavalier, for a request which seemed reasonable, I allowed myself to indicate to him that the tone taken with a client who called for his compassion was not likely to calm the situation. She smugly replied that she wasn't talking to me, while turning on her heels (cutting off any discussion) and quickly holing up in an office, letting her yard colleague deal with the heightened frustration of 6. to 7 people and providing no concrete response to customer needs.
