Without delving into the outrage of the poor communication skills of the person who responds to the email, which is a point that many other reviews of the consulate already touch, it is difficult for me to accept that in the middle of 2020 the protocol to request legalized documents consists of sending a letter with 5 pages whose contents are extremely redundant. It is also absurd that they charge 5 EUR to download and stamp a certificate from the Civil Registry platform in Chile, because they have no shipping costs, since the applicant must include the stamped envelope inside the envelope they send. It is the last straw that they are not even able to ensure that the documents will reach the addressee due to irregularities in the Paris post, or failing that, provide more efficient solutions than re-applying from scratch. Trying to be constructive (in the context of the frustration that your service makes me feel), and taking into consideration that from now (2020) onwards it is very likely that the way in which the consulate operates will be mostly non-face-to-face, they could invest time in working on an effective written communication with the people who write to them asking different questions; It can't be that I had to send you more than 6 emails to get an answer (with information) back to a super clear question. They should also consider restructuring the way they handle their data, in such a way that it is not necessary to indicate more than 5 times our names and more than 3 times our address in EVERY document request that is made, in addition to clearly stopping unjustifiably consuming sheets of paper.

Hello, I wanted to know if you are permanently on vacation at the consulate because we have been trying to contact you by phone and email for weeks. The emails were sent to many recipients, including the French consulate in Chile. As expected, they responded quickly to both me and my partner. However, you guys nothing for a change.
