Post Office

I've had no problem, they've helped me with everything even though I'm a tourist :)

We walked in last minute and they helped us ship our package to the USA. Very helpful staff!

I love this post office, it is so much less crowded than my old one in the 18th. Best time to go is in the morning though, it gets crowded mid to late afternoon. In my experience the service has been friendly. In general, I have found that Parisians like people who like them, so a friendly smile goes a long way with the overworked postal employees.

We only wanted to send some postcards, so we lined up at the machine to get some stamps. Of course the only machine that takes cash is broken. So we asked the staff if we could purchased any at the desk, he led us back to the machine. My girlfriend can speak French so she told him that we are travelers and have no credit card, while my girlfriend tried to explain, the old man just kept speaking gibberish. At the end he just said we can't mail our cards, so we left. Even a French lady standing next to us chuckled when she heard that. ... What kind of post office that you don't even have stamps to sell at the desk? Extremely unhelpful.

Ridiculously overcrowded. Hot and stuffy as hell.
