Avoid receiving mail here. They will lose your mail &/or give you the wrong mail! The whole staff is negligent and unaccountable. You stand in line for more than 20 minutes to be told the package is there, but cannot be located- expect to go there 3-4 times to attempt to pick up a colis from them - IF they can find it! This is the 4th or 5th package I have picked up. First they give me a package that is not mine and does NOT have my name on it. Then when I return their mistake, they claim MY package was picked up when I never received it, and that there is nothing they can do. So either someone at the post office has stolen my package, or it has been given to someone else with another name, just as they did to me. Avoid at all costs!!

I went to look at boxes, a young lady asked if I needed help and she understood my broken French, helped me find the size I needed and even helped me use the automatic payment machine to expediate my experience. Wonderful smile and very helpful. That line looks long though at 5:30 pm. Bring your smart phone with some games on it or a podcast.

Many people complain, but I had quite a different experience at this particular post-office. I had to send two boxes of camping gear to Australia, and received good advice and excellent service. My boxes arrived in record time. I was particularly impressed because I had gone through 3 other European countries where post-office services have been greatly reduced or replaced by private companies such as DHL - namely Denmark, Germany and Belgium. I was not able to send a parcel over two kilos to Australia in two of these countries. Public services are not perfect, and, yes, we have to line up and sometimes be faced with tired employees, but let’s be thankful that these services still exist. Perhaps the employees would be more enthusiastic if they were supported by both clients and government.
